4th New Zealand Chinese Online Spring Festival Gala 第四届新西兰华人网络春节联欢晚会
On the 24th of February 2024, Lin Zheng was invited to perform at the Fourth New Zealand Chinese Online Spring Festival Gala. The event was co-hosted by the New Zealand Pacific Culture and Arts Development Association and the New Zealand China-New Zealand Cultural Exchange Association.
In this splendid cultural performance lasting over three hours, Chinese and New Zealand Chinese artists and performers jointly presented a variety of captivating programmes, including songs, opera, dance, instrumental music, orchestral music, comic dialogue, acrobatics, and magic. The diverse performances intertwined, creating a dazzling and continuous display of brilliance.
As a gem of China’s 5,000-year-old civilisation, the guzheng has always held an important place in promoting traditional Chinese culture. During the gala, Lin's solo performance of Moon Over the West River painted a captivating musical picture. This piece, with its delicate melody, showcased the tranquil beauty of the West River at night, while also expressing the author's deep longing for their distant homeland. It conveyed a sense of tranquillity and beauty that transcends millennia. In Lin's rendition, this piece was not just a musical feast but also a spiritual journey, leading us through time and space to experience the unique charm of traditional Chinese music.

2024年2月24日（农历正月十五），青年古筝艺术家郑琳应邀参演了第四届新西兰华人网络春节联欢晚会，该活动由新西兰太平洋文化艺术发展协会与新西兰中新文化交流协会共同举办。中华人民共和国驻新西兰、同时兼任库克群岛与纽埃特命全权大使的王小龙先生，驻奥克兰总领事陈世杰先生，驻克莱斯特彻奇总领事何颖女士，以及新西兰民族事务部长Hon. Melissa Lee，连同中国多个省市的侨联、侨办及海外联谊会等，通过这场网络春晚向观众传递了温馨的节日祝福。
在这场持续超过三个小时的精彩文艺演出中，来自中国和新西兰的华裔艺术家和文艺工作者携手献上了包括歌曲、戏曲、舞蹈、器乐、管弦乐、相声、杂技与魔术等多样的精彩节目。多种表演形式交汇，星光熠熠，精彩连连。
作为中国五千年文明中的瑰宝，古筝在推广中国传统文化的活动中始终占据着重要位置。在晚会上，郑琳老师以她的古筝独奏《西江月》为我们描绘了一幅迷人的音乐画卷。这首作品通过细腻的旋律向听众展现了西江夜色的宁静美丽，同时寄托了作者对遥远故乡的深情怀念，体验着那份超越千年的宁静与美好。在郑琳老师的演绎下，这首曲子不仅仅是一场音乐的盛宴，更是一次心灵的旅行，引领我们穿越时空，感受到了中国传统音乐的独特魅力。
