BNZ Auckland Lantern Festival 奥克兰元宵灯节

The Auckland Lantern Festival is the most grand and eye-catching Chinese cultural event in the Auckland region, attracting tens of thousands of people each year. For over twenty years, it has been celebrated with the people of Auckland. However, due to the impact of the pandemic and floods, the Auckland Lantern Festival has been forced to cancel for four consecutive years. This year, the festival made a grand return at a new venue, the Manukau Sports Bowl! On the 25th of February 2024, Zheng’s Music Studio was honoured to be invited to perform at the closing ceremony.

During this performance, Boya Guzheng presented the audience with an unforgettable program. Harvest Drums showcased the joy and lively atmosphere of the Lantern Festival with its spirited and cheerful melody; Moon Over the Guanshan Mountain evoked a sense of homesickness through its soulful melody, resonating with the festive emotions; Fishing Boat at Dusk depicted the tranquil scene of fishermen returning home at dusk, complementing the traditional activities of moon viewing and lantern gazing; and the brisk rhythm and joyful melody of Step by Step not only symbolised the joy and happiness of the New Year but also conveyed blessings for a beautiful future. Boya Guzheng’s performance skilfully combined the festive atmosphere with the charm of music, earning widespread acclaim from the audience.

In addition to the wonderful performances, the event also featured traditional handcrafted Chinese lanterns, as well as various gifts and crafts. Notably, nearly 50 food stalls from different countries offered a feast for the taste buds!

奥克兰元宵灯节是奥克兰地区最盛大也是最引人注目的中国文化活动，每年都会吸引数以万计的人群前来观看，至今已经与奥克兰人民共度了二十多个年头。受疫情和洪灾的影响，奥克兰元宵灯会已经连续四年被迫取消。今年，奥克兰元宵节在全新场地Manukau Sports Bowl 隆重回归！2024年2月25日，新西兰筝乐工作室荣幸受邀参加BNZ奥克兰元宵节的闭幕式演出。

在此次演出中，博雅筝团为观众们献上了令人难忘的古筝合奏。《丰收锣鼓》以其激昂和欢快的旋律展现了元宵佳节的喜悦与热烈氛围；《关山月》通过深情的旋律，唤起了人们对故乡的思念，与节日中的思乡情绪遥相呼应；《渔舟唱晚》用描绘渔民黄昏归家的宁静画面，引人入胜，与赏月观灯的传统活动相映成趣；而《步步高》的明快节奏和愉快旋律，不仅预示着新年的喜悦与幸福，也寄托了对未来美好愿景的祝福。博雅筝团的表演巧妙地融合了节日氛围与音乐魅力，收获了观众们的广泛赞赏！

此次活动现场不但有精彩表演，还展示了传统手工制作的中国灯笼，以及各种礼品和工艺品。值得一提的是，来自近50个国家的美食摊位让人们一饱口福！
