On 26th of August 2024, the Zheng’s Music Studio was invited to perform at St Cuthbert's College's Mid-Autumn Festival Gala, one of the school's signature events. The evening, co-organised by the school's Asian Friendship Group and Chinese Cultural Group students, offered a vibrant mix of performances and delicious snacks, allowing the audience to enjoy both cultural artistry and culinary delights.

At the gala, the Zheng’s Music Studio opened the evening with a remarkable rendition of A Laugh in the Sea. The powerful melody and rich emotions instantly energised the audience. The ensemble members, in perfect harmony, delivered a stirring performance full of strength and grandeur, capturing the bold spirit of the piece. The audience was enthralled by the guzheng's resonant melodies, feeling not only the deep emotions of the music but also its rich cultural significance. Many attendees expressed that the performance gave them a profound appreciation for the unique charm of traditional Chinese music and enhanced their understanding of Mid-Autumn Festival culture.
