Parkside Retirement Village's Chinese New Year Celebration Parkside养老院新春演出

On February 14th, 2025, the Zheng’s Music Studio was invited to participate in the Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day celebration hosted by Parkside Retirement Village, spending a joyful time with the elderly residents. The venue was beautifully decorated, filled with festive spirit, and every seat was occupied as everyone gathered to celebrate the holidays together.

Before the performance began, several audience members eagerly inquired about the history and playing techniques of the guzheng, looking forward to the wonderful performance rich in Chinese cultural charm.

Liu Di, a member of Boya Guzheng, presented a series of vibrant guzheng performances, bringing the audience a visual and auditory feast. "Harvest Drums" resonated with powerful rhythms, expressing the joy of the harvest; Golden Snake Dance was full of passion, creating a lively and festive atmosphere; Step by Step Higher had an uplifting melody, symbolising progress and prosperity. The guzheng music, flowing gently, told the story of Chinese New Year and conveyed wishes for a prosperous life. The performance received warm applause and unanimous praise from the audience.

Teacher Zheng Lin remarked, "Music is not only a display of skill, but also a transmission of emotion. Liu Di conveys joy through the guzheng, expressing blessings through melody. This is a performance of great significance. Respect for the elderly is a traditional virtue of China, and music is the most beautiful bridge. May the guzheng's melody continue to resonate, and may love flow within the notes."

2025年2月14日，新西兰筝乐工作室受邀参加由Parkside Retirement Village主办的中国新年暨情人节庆祝活动，与长者们共度欢乐时光。现场张灯结彩，洋溢着浓浓的节日氛围，全场座无虚席，共同庆贺佳节。

在演出开始前，多位观众饶有兴趣地询问古筝的历史、演奏技法，期待着这场充满中国文化韵味的精彩演出。

博雅筝团团员刘迪以一系列生动的古筝演奏，为在场观众带来一场视听盛宴。《丰收锣鼓》铿锵有力，奏响丰收的喜悦；《金蛇狂舞》热情洋溢，营造出欢腾热烈的节日气氛；《步步高》旋律高亢激昂，寓意步步高升、欣欣向荣。筝声悠扬，诉说着中国新年的故事，也传递着对美好生活的祝愿。演出赢得现场观众的热烈掌声和一致好评！
