Resonance of the Chinese Guzheng 第九届“华乐筝鸣”年度音乐会

On 30th December 2024, Zheng’s Music Studio successfully hosted the 9th Annual Concert,Resonance of the Chinese Guzheng, in Auckland. Since its inception in 2016 under the theme Charm of Guzheng’, the event has now reached its ninth edition, continuing its musical legacy with classical guzheng pieces. Each concert is not only a tribute to the heritage of guzheng music but also a testament to the studio’s deep passion and unique insights into this traditional art form.

This year’s concert opened with the Henan-style guzheng piece Lantern Festival Celebration, setting a festive and lively tone. Phoenix Song, a Shandong guzheng piece, painted a majestic image of a phoenix soaring through the sky. The Han-style composition Romance of the Western Chamber conveyed the emotional depth and twists of a classic love story. The Chaozhou piece Embroidered Flowers expressed prosperity and auspiciousness through its elegant melody. The Cantonese composition Bells of the Zen Temple evoked a sense of tranquillity and spiritual depth with its serene tones. Finally, the Shaanxi piece Drumming at Fragrant Hills depicted the grandeur of devoted pilgrims, capturing the solemn and magnificent atmosphere of this traditional ritual.

在本届音乐会上，河南筝曲《闹元宵》奏响了序曲，带来了节日的欢庆与热烈；山东筝曲《凤翔歌》通过琴弦描绘了凤鸣苍穹的壮丽景象；汉调筝曲《西厢记》以琴音讲述了爱情故事中的深情与波折；潮州筝曲《锦上添花》以优雅的旋律传达了富贵与吉祥的美好寓意；广东筝曲《禅院钟声》用清幽的音调表达了禅意的宁静与深邃；陕西筝曲《香山射鼓》展现了香客朝拜的热闹场面，彰显了这一传统活动的庄严与壮丽。
